Quality Matters!
Your new flag will take more abuse than practically anything you own. Wind, rain and blistering sunlight will take their toll on your flag pretty quick. So if you can buy a flag that holds up under strenuous conditions longer, you'll buy less flags and save a lot of money! That's why we feature flags from Annin, the most respected flag maker in the US, with a reputation that dates back to 1847.
Not all sewn stripes and embroidered stars are created equal.
Everyone advertises "sewn stripes and embroidered stars" but as you can see here, that doesn't always mean quality. The hallmarks of an Annin flag are:
- Densely embroidered stars using a super-strong lustrous polyester thread—not cotton that doesn't hold up. (Fig. 6)
- Stripes sewn with a double lock-stitched (not chain stitched) row of color matched polyester thread. (Fig. 2)
- Heavy-weight Dupont SolarMax™ nylon flag fabric dyed with deep, rich colors and guaranteed to be colorfast for a full year.
- The heaviest polyester duck headers in the industry with solid brass grommets that won't rust and stain your flag. (Fig. 1)
Here at Flagstuff.com, we stand behind every single flag we sell. Each one is guaranteed to be the toughest, longest lasting flag you have ever owned.
- Super-tough polyester header with large, solid brass grommets. Not brass plated steel found on less expensive flags.
- Stripe in top portion of photo shows competitions non color matching thread. The bottom stripe is Annin's— a double lock-stitched row of strong polyester thread. Notice the rich, deep color!
- A competitor's nylon flag "individually wrapped" in a plastic bag.
- Annin flags (2'x 3' and larger) are delivered to you in a beautiful box—tells you they're really proud of what they make.
- Star from the flag-in-a-bag at left.
- Annin's star—the difference couldn't be more striking. True quality is in the attention to detail.
