American Samoa Flag
American Samoa is part of the Polynesian islands in the South Pacific east of Australia. The flag of American Samoa was officially adopted in 1960 and is a simple design symbolizing the unity of the United States and the Samoan people.
The main elements of the flag consist of an eagle, which symbolizes the United States, grasping two traditional symbols of the Samoans. One is the "Uatogi", a weapon of battle, and the other is a "fue" stick, which is an important symbol in ruling councils.
